Essential oils always bring me back to center. They gently nudge me to become more observant of my surroundings.
I stay grounded with essential oils. They are my go-to when I want to feel linked to the earth and in-tune with terra firma. I believe this is increasingly important as the world continues to shift. The final months of the year are a good time for refreshing this connection. Maybe that’s why it’s my favorite time of the year.
My favorite essential oils for this time of year are cinnamon, cardamom, Sandalwood Precious Essentials, eucalyptus, frankincense, sweet orange and clove, to name a few. (Aura Cacia’s Precious Essentials are blends of the most-prized essential oils with jojoba oil. They offer an affordable way to enjoy the most precious oils.) To me, these essential oils are all very grounding and help reinforce that I am part of the earth and maybe even something bigger. They help me feel more plugged-in. When I’m stuck in traffic or a building, just a dab of diluted oils on my wrist or a calming whiff can help me maintain that sacred alliance with the outside world. It’s all part of my ongoing journey with aromatherapy.
The best part of your journey is just that – it’s your journey. You can get suggestions and advice from many resources (see some of my favorite fall blends below), but in the end it is all up to you. You get to choose and learn which essential oils make you feel introspective. You get to choose ways to incorporate them into your mindfulness practices.
