Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil Body and Patio Spray

Keep this homemade lemon eucalyptus summertime spray on hand during outdoor activities.


9 drops Aura Cacia Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil

7 drops Aura Cacia Java Citronella Essential Oil

4 drops Aura Cacia Grapefruit Essential Oil

4 drops Aura Cacia Texas Cedarwood Essential Oil

2-ounce Aura Cacia Amber Mist Bottle with Writable Label

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

3 tablespoons water


1. In bottle, combine water, vanilla extract and essential oils.

2. Replace lid and shake until well blended.

3. To use, shake bottle and mist exposed skin or airspace, avoiding eyes.

I’m assuming cause of the citronella, it is a bug spray, but is it safe to use around pets? Can it be adapted for use as a ‘fogger’ type spray for the whole patio and not use skin?

I was thinking that, but with the lemon eucalyptus and grapefruit I guess you could only use it when the sun goes down? So, yes in a diffuser, sounds nice.
