My kitchen is my ultimate comfort zone. When I need to relax and unwind, I head there and get creative.  I like eating local and in season so this is prime harvest time for me.  School starts up again tomorrow so I have used this last week to prepare ingredients to whip together quick meals on the go.  I have also put together portable snacks so I don’t have to rely on the vending machines to get me through.

I love quiet time! I love being outdoors and I am so fortunate to have a beautiful view of Gods creation and Mother Nature in all her glory right out my back door. I can find comfort anytime/anywhere when I am able to have quiet moments outdoors.

There’s noting better than feeling comfy! At work I love to breathe in some essential oils and drink some relaxing tea. My favorite way to embrace hygge at home is to (preferably on a cold rainy day) diffuse some oils, curl up in a comfy blanket and watch movies or read.

My home is my comfort zone.  I love going out and doing, but coming home to my small, comfortable home, with my husband, my dogs, my cats, my books, my art, and my music is my happy place.  However, yoga has taught me that I can always find comfort within no matter where I am, or what the situation.

My bedroom is my sanctuary and cozy place! I have it decorated with meaningful pieces and lots of fluffy pillows! I have my salt lamp and diffuser. Oh I may need to go spend some more time there!!!!

I’ve always felt out of the mainstream since I like to have downtime reading a good book, skimming a magazine or just looking at the sky. I never knew it had a name. Hygge. Now I need to find out how to pronounce it!

I love to take a Epsom salt bath by candlelight, followed my warm jojoba oil massaged all over my body,  more candles and some comfort food.

I treat myself to hygge every day, usually after the day is complete (dishes done, kitchen closed).  I fix a teapot of my favorite hot tea, get my diffuser going with Lime and Grapefruit oils, and grab my iPad to read books that I download from our library.  Hygge.

Applying comforting measures are an important part of my self-care regime. I started the day with a short yoga practice, had coffee and a light breakfast, gone for a walk with family, then took a nice comfort break reading a chapter while relaxing on the couch. At times it seems selfish, however self-care is essential and helps me to be my best for others in my life. I know that taking time each day for myself helps me feel grateful and more productive.

I like to add natural elements to my surrounding..plants, flowers, crystals, fibers, wood, feathers, etc.  Silence is wonderful but light music or crystal bowls, chanting, birds singing is wonderful.  I also like adding some sun catchers to create rainbows.  Candles, essential oils, incense…I love adding beauty to any space and bring that within.

took a nap on my couch while diffusing essential oils, and then had cereal for supper.  Not much, but it was so nice to turn my brain off for a while and give my body what it needed.

diffusing oils, burning candles, listening to music in the candlelight, or curling up with a good book.  Cuddling with the cat (I lost my dog a few months ago or snuggling with him would absolutely top my list!!) I just need to do it more often! I like the idea of seeking it out, not just waiting til I’m too exhausted to keep going that I fall in a heap.

After a long, trying day, my nights are my comfort zone….A cup of herbal tea, lights only at a flicker, and the sound of laughter and silliness from my teenager’s room….my kitty near and enjoying the stillness of the night….I do have to invest in an oil diffuser….yes, that will be my next investment…..

My bed is my comfort spot.  At the end of a long day, we diffuse a calming blend, we snuggle up under sheets and blankets and have evening cuddles, prayers and reading time with our ds.  It is the BEST part of my day.

This task was much needed and on Time. There was so much on my mind today. I placed gemstones around my place, diffused Lavender and frankincense and curled up to watch a movie with my toddler. I also ran a spiritual bath to wash away the tension. Needed this.

Mornings are my comfort time. An open window, a cup of hazelnut coffee, and my sweet old cat curled up in my lap. I read or write a letter. This is my calm start to every day. This is where I am right now :)

Woke up to a crisp cool morning and a hot cup of coffee from my man, followed by yoga with him outside to the sun before the kids got up…
And now calming down from the day with a show of cupcake wars before the kids go to bed ❤

This is one task I think I am pretty good at. I know it takes a lot for me to recharge. Simple things like a meditation, essential oils, a nice cup of coffee, or cuddles with my kitties.

At the end of a crazy ,my favorite thing is to sit light a candle , sit in my big comfy chair with my dog .  It calms my soul

This concept is one of my favorite self-care practices.  I enjoy diffusing different oils based on the needs of my mood and I also make sure to have salt rock lamps around.  Warm blankets, my fuzzy newfoundland puppy, and my 22 year old daughter drinking coffee on the coach next to me completes a very comfortable moment.

I need to create a comfy space with diffusers and oils in the future. For now, I need to simplify and purge.  I’m very stressed right now so I will light some rose scented candles and pray a rosary.

I was up early to take in the morning quiet while knitting today. I’m off work today to prepare for a big weekend of peer ministry work with my husband. It’s great to take some time to calm and comfort myself to “fill up my tank” for the work ahead.

I love the idea, but often struggle to set aside time for myself to enjoy the cozy and comforting spaces I create. I am finally committed to picking out and crocheting a blanket just for myself after years of making and giving them away to others. I did the same with a shawl for myself, and it really underscored for me my tendency to create comfort for others when I am the one who needs it.

Being retired brings many times of relaxation and comfort.  I created a special place in my bedroom to just sit, breathe and relax..  Listening to my current favorite CD “Spirit Earth - Relaxing Native Flute” helps me clear my mind of worries or anxiety and shut out the world.

I am in a place in my life where comfort for me is rare and difficult. I am recovering from divorce, being assualted, and the loss of two jobs. Through my recovery I found meditation and I bought myself a super soft beautiful blanket I lay across my shoulders or my lap while I meditate. I know it sounds silly but that blanket, that indulgent softness, is a reminder to me that gentleness with myself is a gift I can give to myself any time I need it. And I need to do it. To stay open and loving and gentle with others. I often put one hand on my heart and one hand on the blanket when I mediate and the comfort I feel is beyond words. I had stopped using that blanket recently just because it got put away and I didn’t feel like getting it back out but this inspired me to bring it back and the comfort brought me to tears. Thank you :)

i live alone, so my entire home is my comfort zone. i enjoy being in my home and make it a point for it to feel comfortable. it is my sanctuary after long work days and inspires my creativity with my crochet.

I stopped doing chores and errands to lay out on the deck and listen to nature and soak in some vitamin D.  I have been historically deficient in vitamin D and down time.  In order to reduce the anxiety of relaxing, I remind myself that it’s one of the best things I can do for my well-being.

After traveling for work this week, I was able to spend some cozy time snuggling with my little girls.  Just sitting with them and holding them close was the ultimate comfort for me - and for them :-)

Just for this reason there is a space at home that is “my seat”. When I get home from work and after eating dinner, my family knows that I go to “my seat” just to relax before we start to tackle anything else. I sit down, recline, cover up with a blanket, and just sit.

The task was very hepful. I sat an watched movies the kind I like. I was quiet within and just relaxed.  It was kind of hard to do at first but i just let go.  My higher self said it was okay.

Busy morning with a lot of appointments… so I have decided to make them more
Comfortable. While waiting… I settle into seat, focus on breathing, take some deep breaths, notice where the tightness in my body is residing and take deeper breaths into those areas. I also feed light and oxygen and love into those tight areas.
While on way to another obligation, I treat myself to a delicious chai tea! I sit with my eyes closed, hands around the warm
Cup and breath in the sweet aroma. Then taking a sip fills my belly with some warmth! To me this is comfy!

I take time for a hot bubble bath for comfort.  I also like to cuddle up in bed with my headphones and listen to a Sleep Story in the Calm APP, or listen to a guided meditation by Joseph Goldstein.  I have a puppy who I like to invite to stay next to me, and when she joins me, it is even more comforting!

I in the last few yrs discoved how important comfort is! Even down to positioning your body in a way thats comfortable. Now i realize when im holding tension in certain areas of my body. I always approached things from such a stressful way to myself even to the point i hurt so bad but a friend would want to stay up so i would to now i know you can lay your head down and rest and giggle with your friend still. I have anxiety and im teaching myself i dont have to be in uncomfortable situations all the time if im not feeling it and am happier on my own then do it. My healing is just as important as everyone elses. I enjoy music all the time for comfort! Soft lighting in the evening! Dancing in the shower. Sauing thank you has such an invigorating effect even on me that its relaxing on its own to do it! Comfort is important and we should be doing what we can to make ourselves comfortable. Its not a luxury. Its not being materialistic. Its not frivolous. Its part of us being our best selves. When were our best selves it allows others to be there best selves too. Plus vibrating at a higher frequency does lift the whole.
