How to Use Essential Oils for Meditation

Breathe deep and learn how to meditate with essential oils. The calming, relaxing, focusing and grounding aromas of certain essential oils can be remarkable tools to enhance your meditation practice.

To focus your mind before meditation remove distractions, close the door, dim the lights, silence the phone and other electronic devices, and breathe deep.

To focus your breathing before meditation, practice deep and even breathing.

To prepare your space for meditaion, dim the lights, light a candle and diffuse grounding essential oils like sandalwood, frankincense and cedarwood.

To find a comfortable meditative position, either cross your legs into a lotus position or simply sit in a chair or on a cushion.

My thoughts are very external and irritating sounds bother me. I am trying to deal with the methadone that is gone from my system.  April 1 I was clean of narcotics. 20 years.  My body and mind are rebellious to this new state of mind and body. I need to regroup and re charge myself.

I agree in these suggestions because I’ve noticed a difference in my meditation when I prepare my area. It helps to set the intention and make the session to be pleasurable and focused.
